The New Kensington-Arnold School District will have some new leadership heading into the school year. The district hired Krista Pisano as the new principal at Martin Elementary School and Kara Leslie as Valley High School’s assistant principal. Pisano will be joining New Ken-Arnold from the neighboring Burrell School District, where she served as the assistant principal at Charles A. Huston Middle School since 2024. She also served as a middle school learning support teacher and middle school dean of students at Burrell before assuming her assistant principal role. “She brings a fresh perspective as the only female administrator at the high school.”
