Kwamba received five payments totalling £1,495 from Sokolovs’s mother, Zita Sokolova, 53, between 18 March and 2 July 2024. Additionally, 18 payments totalling £4,665 were sent to her by his 20-year-old sister, Venera Sokolova, during the same period. The hearing revealed Venera Sokolova contacted her brother 191 times while he was in prison, and his mother 33 times. Zita Sokolova received a four-month prison sentence, suspended for one year, and was ordered to pay £400 costs.
