Vollering remains second in the general classification and just 15 seconds behind Niewiadoma, with Reusser falling to third but still only 39 seconds back. Niewiadoma beamed as she spoke afterwards: “As we started to climb Mont Ventoux we looked right and I saw my parents – they paid me a surprise visit! I came here and rode Mont Ventoux with my friends and my husband.
