Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has urged the Lagos government to initiate criminal proceedings against those implicated in the coroner’s inquest into his son’s death. Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, following an injection given by auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe. He was buried the next day, but amid public outcry and ongoing investigations, the police exhumed his body on September 21, 2023, to perform an autopsy. “Specifically, we refer to persons indicted by the coroner verdict hereunder: Miss Ogedengbe Fisayo, indicted for unlawful medical practice and gross medical negligence; and Mrs. Omowunmi Aloba, indicted for negligence,” the letter reads. By February 2025, a magistrate court formally ruled that they were not involved in the singer’s death.
