Often, without realizing it, life passes us by while we lament and consider ourselves very unhappy about the most varied things. He died surrounded by his family, after having received the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick the day before. I have spent a year giving thanks for all the moments we shared with him, until God decided it was his time to go to heaven. Today I give thanks for my father's life and for reaching 81 years of age, while others have passed away far too young. I also give thanks for being able to continue enjoying the company of my mother and my siblings, in this family that is, for me, the greatest treasure the Lord has given me and one of the things for which I am most grateful.
