When Gordon Sherritt lost his wedding ring sailing to Alaska on a Holland America Line cruise ship, he didn’t know if he would ever see his 60-year-old ring again as he went home without it. Guest Services recognized that the ring was the one that was reported lost during the previous cruise. To honor the 9-year-old for doing the right thing, Captain Smit invited Corbin and his family to visit the cruise ship’s bridge. He was glad to have his wedding ring back, which matched the ring of his partner of 60 years, Alice Sherritt. Sherritt said, “It was wonderful when my wedding ring found its way home“.
