Native Aberdeen-Angus bulls sold to £2,210 from TH&K Wood, Harrogate, with thick Angus bulls with size regularly £2,100-£2,200, the leaner end £1,850-£2,000. Dairy-bred thick bulls made £2,050-£2,200 and leaner farming goods with age £1,600-£1,800. Other better suckler-bred types made £2,150-£2,300, mediums £1,800-£2,100 and younger commercial sorts £1,600-£1,750. A few big-framed dairy crosses were around £2,100, the next size down or leaner types towards £2,000 and farming cattle £1,700-£1,950. The mart says more cattle are required to help satisfy both current demand and trade, with the next fortnightly sale scheduled for Wednesday, August 19.
