Bellway Homes has lodged an outline bid for up to 900 homes on farmland north of Saxon Way, with 1.5 hectares for community, care or commercial use and 33 hectares of public green space at Enham Park. Bellway says the homes would use a "fabric first" design, be built to Future Homes Standard-level performance and use "no more than 110 litres per person per day". A Cole Close resident whose home backs on to Saxon Way near the site said: "In my opinion, there are already way too many houses in Andover and the surrounding areas. The plans, submitted to TVBC on Monday, July 27, have drawn one public comment and are due for a decision by November 16.
