Nidec is proposing to move its Control Techniques Dynamics site in Andover, which has operated from the town for more than 60 years, to Oradea in Romania. A Nidec spokesperson said: "Nidec Drives has announced a proposal to relocate operations from its Control Techniques Dynamics Ltd., Andover, UK facility to the Nidec Oradea S.r.l. Our priority is to support those affected throughout the consultation process. Mr Malthouse said: "Control Techniques Dynamics has been part of Andover for more than 60 years, and its people are among the most skilled we have. Workers warned the closure could hit local suppliers, contractors and service businesses as well as the 60 employees at the factory.
