A rare Slingsby T-21 glider owned by local man Bill Cook was among the highlights at the event, which took place from July 17 to 20.
The open-cockpit, side-by-side glider was common in British skies in the 1950s and early 1960s but is now rarely seen flying.
Shalbourne Gliding Club rally (Image: Shalbourne Public Relations)Club member Gillian Brind also took to the skies in her Schleicher K-8, a 1961 aircraft she flies alongside her role as the club’s secretary.
During the July long weekend, the event took on an added vintage feel as members of the West Berkshire Classic Car Club arrived with a selection of period vehicles, offering a striking comparison alongside the historic gliders.
A spokesperson said: "Although the focus of the weekend was vintage gliding, Shalbourne Gliding has a fleet of modern two-seater and single-seater gliders which we fly every weekend and Wednesday while training new pilots.
