Cricket legend to attend family fun event in honour of Basingstoke sportsman

West Indies great Sir Gordon Greenidge will attend the Lee Nurse Memorial Day at May’s Bounty on August 23.
Held every year since Lee died during the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival returns with a new 100-ball tournament and usually draws hundreds.
Lee’s father, Leon Nurse, was proud to announce that Sir Greenidge will be at the event.
Lee died of Covid-19 in April 2020, aged 43; he was a former captain of Basingstoke & North Hants and Finchampstead, and a Minor Counties player for Berkshire.
