West Indies great Sir Gordon Greenidge will attend the Lee Nurse Memorial Day at May’s Bounty on August 23. Held every year since Lee died during the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival returns with a new 100-ball tournament and usually draws hundreds. Lee’s father, Leon Nurse, was proud to announce that Sir Greenidge will be at the event. Lee died of Covid-19 in April 2020, aged 43; he was a former captain of Basingstoke & North Hants and Finchampstead, and a Minor Counties player for Berkshire.
