Montréal-born, Ottawa-based artist Eau the Music (pronounced ‘O’ the Music) shares new single, ‘In This Silence’. Lifted from debut album ‘Light in the Dark’, out soon, the self-produced ‘In This Silence’ is a blend of dream pop, shoegaze and alt-rock, built on gauzy guitar textures and mellifluous shifts major and minor key vocals. With no formal musical training, Eau the Music discovered her creative voice through instinct – writing, producing and mixing ‘Light in the Dark’ entirely herself. Eau the Music explains:“‘In This Silence’ is an ode to the liminal: in relationships, loss, and the relationship I have with myself. Although ‘Light in the Dark’ was conceived as a solo endeavour, Eau the Music’s live performances expand the project’s scope with a full band bringing warmth and communal energy to the songs.
