A number of residents have backed the plans, arguing the area is underserved for the sport. A regular leisure centre user said he supported the addition of padel courts in principle but questioned the proposed location. A further objection submitted on behalf of residents in Browsholme, Croasdale, and Scale Farm Road raised concerns about noise from outdoor padel courts. The application has received support from Lancaster City Council's Public Realm team, while Lancashire County Council's highways authority has raised no objection.
