One event, which is the biggest to be held in Lancashire, is organised by volunteers from the Raza Masjid on Randal Street and Madina Masjid in Oak Street. It is one of a number of events which are held each year locally, with the Blackburn procession attracting more than 4,000 people. The procession, which lasts around an hour, will be held on Sunday, September 6, and begin at the Raza Masjid. The route normally begins at the Raza Mosque and makes its way along Victoria Street and then back onto Randal Street. Meanwhile, the event organised by the Jamia Ghosia Mosque, in Chester Street, will take place on Sunday, August 30.
