Private Hajj bookings will now be processed under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, marking a major shift in the country’s Hajj management system. For the first time, both government and private Hajj operations will function under the ministry’s direct oversight. The private Hajj scheme will be handled through the official Pak Hajj App, where packages, agreements and payments will be monitored digitally. Sources said the new framework is being introduced in line with Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk Masar system to make private Hajj operations more transparent and efficient. According to sources, applicants under both the government and private Hajj schemes will submit applications and pay dues only through Habib Bank Limited, replacing the previous system of 16 banks.
