A local MSP has hit out at BEAR Scotland after over 900 days of delays for the A835 roadworks at Garve, as the completion date is pushed back to March 2027.
An incident in December 2023 caused a barrier on a sharp turn of the A835 near Garve to become damaged.
After 35 months of delays, work finally began on the stretch of road in December 2025, with hopes to complete the work by November.
Now BEAR Scotland has announce that works are “expected to be completed” in March 2027, subject to weather — over 1180 days since the incident occurred.
“BEAR Scotland needs to be upfront about why these further delays have happened, provide a clear timetable for completing the work, and ensure there are no further delays.
