Young rape victim says she is 'mourning the life of somebody who never got to exist'

He admitted the offence, which caused "severe psychological impact" to his victim, said Judge Richard Woolfall.
"It's like I am mourning the life of a person that never got to exist," she said.
Prosecuting, Senior Crown Advocate, Jeremy Evans told the court at the opening of the trial that the defendant had encouraged the victim to keep his actions secret.
Reading from the victim impact statement written by the victim, Mr Evans read to the court: "I feel like I have always struggled with anxiety and depression as a result."
He recalled her victim impact statement in which she told of her shame and guilt.
