The man accused of setting fire to a Northeast Philly mosque last month has been charged with damaging a religious property. Vincent Lang, 60, allegedly threw an incendiary device into the Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center at 1421 Tyson Ave. in the early hours of July 5. The mosque caught fire, and the blaze spread around the street-facing entrance of the building before firefighters extinguished it. Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives later identified this person as Lang through a tip from an anonymous source. The account also cheered the arson at Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center through comments on multiple posts containing surveillance footage from the mosque.
