Rana urged school administrations to respect the government’s directives and ensure students receive the full duration of the summer break. The minister stressed that the summer holidays are not merely a vacation period. Parents and students have been advised to follow only the schedule announced by the Punjab government, with August 24 confirmed as the earliest date for schools across the province to reopen after the summer holidays. The Punjab government has now made it clear that schools must remain closed until the officially notified date.
