— A 46-year-old Sioux Falls woman died after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 14A in Boulder Canyon near Sturgis, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 1:06 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at mile marker 50, about 2 miles south of Sturgis.
ADVERTISEMENTPreliminary information indicates the woman was riding a 2013 Suzuki Gladius 650 eastbound on Highway 14A when a 2013 Victory Jackpot traveling westbound failed to negotiate a curve.
The 77-year-old male rider of the Victory was taken to a Sturgis hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and all information released is preliminary.
