The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded another major success in its crackdown on smuggling, intercepting a container loaded with concealed pump-action rifle parts and seizing cannabis-infused products worth ₦373.8 million at the Tincan Island Port Command in Lagos. A thorough physical examination at the Customs Enforcement Station uncovered hidden crates containing knocked-down components believed to be JoJeff pump-action rifles. He noted that the successful interceptions demonstrate the effectiveness of the Nigeria Customs Service's intelligence-driven operations, advanced risk profiling systems, and close collaboration with other security agencies. He also commended officers of the Tincan Island Port Command and the Customs Enforcement Unit for their vigilance, professionalism, and dedication. The Nigeria Customs Service said investigations are still ongoing and promised to keep the public updated as prosecutions begin.
