Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the government would deploy artificial intelligence (AI) tools to plug revenue leakages and improve the state's fiscal health without affecting the ease of doing business. Revanth Reddy on Friday was speaking with noted economist and former chief economic advisor Arvind Subramanian on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to strengthen Telangana's Goods and Services Tax (GST) ecosystem and enhance the state government's revenue collections. During a meeting, the Chief Minister and Dr Subramanian discussed strategies to enhance GST revenues as Telangana's economy continues to expand rapidly. The discussions focused on adopting AI-driven solutions to identify loopholes in the GST system, improve tax administration and formulate a robust roadmap for increasing state revenues. Revanth Reddy also reviewed the reforms required in the GST and excise departments to improve revenue mobilisation.
