The committee described GO 25 as a “death warrant” for primary schools and sought its amendment.
It demanded at least two teachers in every primary school and one teacher for each class where enrollment crosses 50.
The USPC state steering committee said teachers participated irrespective of their union affiliations.
The next protests are scheduled at mandal headquarters on August 12 and 13, followed by district-level dharnas on August 19.
Teachers also sought the release of service rules, filling of supervisory posts, application of Memo 57 to 2003 DSC teachers and justice for those affected by GO 317.
