Seshagiri Babu on Friday directed officials to ensure the transparent and time-bound disposal of all claims and objections received during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He instructed officials to complete inquiries within seven days of issuing notices and dispose of at least 70 cases every day to clear the pendency. The observer also directed officials to share details of claims and objections with recognised political parties in accordance with Election Commission guidelines to ensure transparency. He said deficiencies in the clarity of photographs in some draft electoral rolls had been noticed and should be rectified. Photo electoral rolls were later handed over to representatives of various political parties.
