Seven tactile Braille storybooks have been created for students at Devnar School for the Blind, adding accessible reading material to the school’s library where such resources are limited. The books are designed to support early literacy, independent learning and shared reading experiences for children with visual impairments. The storybooks combine Braille text with tactile illustrations made using raised graphics and different textures, allowing children to read alongside classmates, parents and teachers. “Our students do not need sympathy; they need access to stories, learning and the same experiences every child has. These books deliver exactly that,” said Rama Krishna Vaddadi, principal of Devnar School for the Blind.
