On Friday, in an attempt to address rumors that the United States is running out of missiles due to the war with Iran, President Donald Trump accidentally revealed an effort to remedy the situation that is decidedly not consistent with the "America First" ethos. "The U.S. has massive amounts of 'munitions,' especially of certain types,” Trump posted to Truth Social. “Additionally, large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed. Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in our country’s history. And if leaking that information is treasonous, as the president contends, then the underlying facts about depleted stockpiles would have to be accurate, wouldn’t they?”
