The hotel itself, a late-nineteenth-century mansion set in the Surrey Hills, is named after its best-known former resident Lord Beaverbrook – publicist, political powerhouse and close friend of Winston Churchill. These discoveries, from antique fairs and vintage shops, are tucked around the hotel, giving a little nudge to the otherwise immaculate decoration.
