Watching people really use their clothes, sweating and working, they felt inspired by the idea of making pieces that are truly useful. This type of pristine, practical clothing is at the foundation of the new collaboration: think denim hourglass jackets and knit off-the-shoulder dresses. Though there’s a misconception that basics are easier to shop, the collaboration recognizes that they can be the most difficult to get right. “We met in Stockholm two years ago,” says Johansson, explaining how the pieces were designed.
