A mother is facing charges for allegedly assaulting her less than 1-year-old infant earlier this week in Keene, New Hampshire. The child reportedly had several broken bones in various stages of healing. She was arrested on a warrant on Thursday and charged with second degree assault. The incident remains under investigation by Keene police detectives, who were assisted by the Child Advocacy and Protection Program at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
