The tongue-in-cheek 'traditional' event starts at Holy Trinity Church at midday before travelling along Horns Road to the Crown and Sceptre, led by Stroud Red Band. Residents are invited to join the parade, playing instruments, shaking homemade percussion, or dancing in horned headdresses. It coincides with Stroud's Yard Trail, allowing procession-goers to explore stalls and pick up bargains en route. Band leader Mark Coldrick said the event had 'gone from strength to strength', describing it as a 'colourful, joyous end to the school holidays'. A free horn-making workshop will run at the Trinity Rooms from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, August 30, with materials and expert help provided.
