The summit was sponsored by the Association for Undergraduate Education at Research Universities (UERU), which found a home at CSU 13 years ago. CSU President Amy Parsons hosted a conversation with higher education scholar and author Brian Rosenberg during the opening reception. The summit was inspired by the Boyer 2030 Commission Report, which was published in 2022 as a roadmap for research universities like CSU to secure better undergraduate outcomes. “I don’t know the answer, but I also don’t think Lincoln or Morrill himself could have imagined what research universities today would look like. “I for one would love to be around to see what it looks like when we see what research universities look like in the future,” Frank said.
