A Cumberland man suffered critical injuries Thursday night after a motorcycle carrying two people crashed into a wooded area in Falmouth, according to police. Falmouth Police responded at approximately 9:59 p.m. on Aug. 6 to the intersection of Leighton and Brook roads following a report of a motorcycle crash into the trees. A preliminary investigation found that the motorcycle lost control while navigating a curve before entering the tree line. Police said the operator struck a tree, throwing both the driver and passenger from the motorcycle. The operator, a 43-year-old Cumberland man, was transported by Falmouth Fire and EMS with critical injuries.
