A policing operation has been stood up ahead of a protest and counter-protest in Bristol city centre tomorrow (Saturday 8 August). Anyone who continues to conceal their identity within the designated area without a lawful exemption may be arrested and prosecuted. For this protest, a zone has been put in place in Queens Square which is applicable for the protest group. The designated area has been allocated to the protest group which first notified police of its intention to protest. The purpose of the designated area is to enable peaceful protest while reducing the risk of conflict between opposing groups.
