The A534 Barton Road, between Farndon and Barton, is reducing to 40mph from national speed limit (60mph). Wrexham Council changed the speed limit after North Wales coroner John Gittins wrote to the authority expressing road safety concerns. It followed a fatal collision A534 Wrexham Road in Holt. Farndon councillor, Adrian Waddelove, said: "A534 Barton Road will be reduced to 40mph with work beginning on Monday, August 3. "Obviously just because the speed limit is changing does not make the junction any less dangerous and motorists should still take great care."
