Personal trainer Djanaya Hampton booked a two-week solo trip to the French capital last year to celebrate her birthday. Despite showing no interest in the men, Ms Hampton said they continued to speak to her, inviting her to a party that night. Ms Hampton said the man asked for her number but she refused, and instead gave her social media handle. The passenger then helped Ms Hampton safely get into an Uber to get back to her hotel. Ms Hampton has opened up about the terrifying ordeal almost a year on to warn other about the importance of staying alert when travelling abroad.
