Mountain bikers in West Sonoma County have a massive new playground to explore after the Monte Rio Redwoods Park quadrupled in size. According to Sonoma Magazine, thanks to a recent acquisition by Sonoma County Regional Parks, the expanded preserve now offers nearly 30 miles of trails winding through scenic redwood groves. The single-track routes were originally built and maintained for decades by the local Gianni Cycling Association. Now under public ownership, previous user limits have been lifted, opening up intermediate loops like Radar Love and Monte Rio Redwoods to all riders. Visitors can access the trails from Main Street in Monte Rio or Freezeout Road.
