Leading up to the release date, the developers dropped character guide videos for every fighter on the base roster. Within these guides, we were explicitly told how difficult each character is intended to be via the "ease of use" rating. Eon decided to create a tier list that compiled the difficulty ratings of the base roster. It's interesting to note that none of the characters have a one-star rating, though we could see this come up with future DLC. Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, Captain America, Carnage, Blade and Hulk are said to be the overall easiest characters to play.
