BY RYAN FERRYAODH Ruadh manager Seosamh Mac Ceallabhuí feels the lopsided nature of the draw will have an impact on the championship this year. A number of the leading contenders are in the same group of eight which means they can’t meet before the knock-out phase. “The top five teams – ‘Eunan’s, Naomh Conaill, Glenswilly, Four Masters and Gaoth Dobhair – are all the one side of the draw and they can’t play one another in the group phase,” said Mac Ceallabhuí who is his first season in charge. “There could be teams that end on zero points because they could run in to all the stronger teams.” They only stayed up in the relegation play-off final last year but Mac Ceallabhuí has been impressed with the workrate and application.
