Rozenblat called the concert “a disgrace for Portugal and for the Portuguese” in the statement while distinguishing antisemitism from criticism of Israel. Concert organizer Torcato Jorge dismissed demands to cancel and said Portuguese security services found no reason to bar West. It would become an issue if the security services identified a national threat to public order, which is not the case.
