BAKER CITY — The attorney for a Baker City woman charged with manslaughter in the death of her newborn baby in her home in late December 2024, contends her interview with police in a Boise hospital should not be allowed as evidence at her trial. Angela Marie Croucher, 34, is scheduled to go to trial Nov. 2 in Baker County Circuit Court. Baker County District Attorney Greg Baxter said on Friday morning, Aug. 7, that he would file a response to Thomson’s motion to suppress evidence from the police interview. During a December 2025 hearing, both Thomson and Baxter told Judge Matt Shirtcliff that they expect to call medical experts as witnesses during Croucher’s trial. Baker City Police arrested Croucher on May 12, 2025, after an investigation that started on Dec. 30, 2024.
