The American Theater, located on River Street, is being renovated into what will become a state-of-the-art movie theater as well as a live performance venue. According to New York's Empire State Development team, the $7.1 million dollar renovation of this century-old former cinema, in downtown Troy, is expected to reimagine the theater experience.
