['Dick Mangrum']
101.7 WGOG
An Oconee County restaurant worker came to the rescue of a customer who collapsed, and what Michele McKinley did, followed by public safety responders, is credited with helping save Larry Condit’s life.
A construction worker from Surfside Beach, South Carolina, Condit collapsed inside the Longhorn July 24 at Hartwell Village.
And today McKinley’s employers, along with members of the Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department, presented plaques to both McKinley and Condit.
Besides cross-trained members of the fire department, those responding to the cardiac arrest incident included Seneca Rescue 1, Prisma Health EMS, and the Oconee Sheriff’s Office.
