Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye sign Makkah Joint Defence Pact

The pact reflects the three countries' shared commitment to strengthening collective security and promoting peace in the region.
MAKKAH: Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye on Friday signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, pledging to treat an armed attack on any one of the three countries as an attack on them all, in a move aimed at strengthening regional security cooperation.
The agreement was signed during the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defence, attended by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement.
