Southampton container port owner expands logistics network

The sites, previously managed by GXO, were transferred to DP World as part of regulatory conditions tied to GXO’s acquisition of Wincanton, and will officially switch over in September.
Including the transfer, more than 2,000 employees and around two million square feet of warehouse space will become part of DP World’s UK operations, which include container ports at London Gateway and Southampton.

The six sites serve major grocery retailers including Asda, Sainsbury’s, and the Co-op.
