Elliott Sambells, 36, of Nomad Close, Southampton, admitted making the most serious category of child abuse images, A, in addition to those of category B and C at Southampton Magistrates’ Court. He was given a 12-month community order, which includes a year of mental health treatment, up to 15 rehabilitation activity days and 100 hours of unpaid work. The court also ordered Sambells to sign the sex offenders register for five years and comply with a sexual harm prevention order for the same period. The sexual harm prevention order restricts his internet use and contact with children and allows ongoing monitoring by police. In addition, Sambells was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
