Spencer Bowman has announced Mettricks Guildhall will shut for good on Sunday after more than 10 years of trading at the site, off Above Bar Street. Mr Bowman said despite the venue being successful and extremely popular, the bottom-line numbers just could not add up anymore. Mettricks’ sites in Portswood, Woolston and Westquay are unaffected by the closure of the Guildhall operation. The entrepreneur said: “We are an independent business.
