“The U.S. has massive amounts of ‘munitions,’ especially of certain types,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Several media outlets reported this week that the Pentagon’s inventory of long-range precision weapons and missile interceptors had been significantly depleted during the five-month conflict with Iran.
The Pentagon announced Monday that it had reached framework agreements with defense contractors Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin to expand missile interceptor production.
Trump said U.S. defense manufacturers are rapidly expanding output, claiming they are “building the largest number of plants and factories” in American history.
“The ‘leakers’ of these treasonous statements are being hunted down,” Trump wrote, adding that his administration would seek “long-term jail sentences” for those responsible.
