Chennai, Aug 7:Floral tributes were paid to former Tamil Nadu CM and DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi on his eighth death anniversary here on Friday. Later, Stalin also paid floral tributes to a decorated portrait of Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram and CIT Colony residences and at DMK headquarters Anna Arivalayam. Elsewhere in Tamil Nadu, including in various parts of the city, DMK workers paid floral tributes to the portrait of Karunanidhi to mark the occasion. Earlier, Stalin shared an emotional tribute on X, remembering his father as a towering figure who shaped modern Tamil Nadu. He described him as a visionary who signed countless government files that transformed the destiny of the state and as the architect of modern Tamil Nadu.
