Two people have been rushed to hospital following a crash on the A90 near Ellon. Both carriageways had been shut but are now reopen, according to Traffic Scotland, with commuters experiencing delays around the route. The crash appears to have taken place on the southern side of the bridge over the River Ythan. Alongside this, two ambulances and a “special operations” team were sent to the scene, with two male patients subsequently being transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Accidents on the bridge have caused traffic chaos in the past for commuters heading into Aberdeen, with notorious queues tending to form at the two roundabouts either end of Ellon.
