Care home residents from across the north-east enjoyed a special day out at the Alford Valley Community Railway. The event brought together residents from ten care homes across the region for a fun and memorable community experience. Those taking part included Garioch Care Home, Inverurie; Woodlands, Aberdeen; Angusfield, Aberdeen; Dounemount, Macduff; Laurels Lodge, Aberdeen; Deeside Care Home, Aberdeen; Rubislaw Park, Aberdeen; Maryfield West, Aberdeen; Havencourt, Stonehaven; and Cathy House, Forres. After gathering at Haughton Station for a picnic, residents and their families then enjoyed train rides through the Alford Valley.
